Spackling och grundmålningen är färdig!!

Nu målas taket, vilket säkert blir färdigt senast tisdag och sedan ska väggarna målas. Det går framåt! Fassaden klättrar också så sakteliga högre och högre upp på huset.

It rained yesterday

And not just a little bit, it poured down! Something like 30-40 mm in 4-5 hours. A go kart tire from someone in the neighborhood had got stuck in our culvert which slowed down the water running by in the ditch, causing the ditch to overflow and wash away a good part of our driveway. It doesn't help that the ditch along the whole road is very overgrown and water moves slowly all along.

Now we will have to fix up the driveway a little bit earlier than planned and at the same time invest in bigger culverts for the ditch. You never know what is getting thrown your way!

Fasaden börjar komma på plats

Nu börjar vårt hus få kläder på sig! Återkommer snart med bilder när mer är på plats, det här var efter en timmes jobb.

Utflyttningsdatum

Nu har vi i alla fall sagt åt vår hyresvärd att från och med 1 september så är vi utflyttade. Det betyder inte att huset kommer vara fördigt, eller ens beboeligt då, men vi ska bo i Red Rock åtminstone. Är huset inte beboeligt så flyttar vi in hos mina svärföräldrar någon vecka. Största anledningen till att vi gör så här är att barnen ska kunna ta skolbussen från första skoldagen till nya skolan. Det blir helt enkelt för mycket för mig att köra dem från andra sidan staden med tre andra SMÅttingar.

Förhoppningen är att det går att bo i huset även om det inte är färdigt, men vi ska i vart fall inte behöva tälta. Vi har ett utflyttningsdatum nu även om inglyttningsdatum ännu saknas...

Drywall is done

All the walls and ceilings have drywall on and tomorrow they will start taping it all. All of a sudden the house feels so much closer to being finished, even though there is a long way to go... :) Some rooms feel a lot bigger now (living room) and others a lot smaller (powder room), but the whole house feels so much more like a house now.

My husband is working on the exterior right now, but tonight he was going to clean a little first, you might noticed the need of that in the pictures.
